Worth it for 300$? No.

I don’t particularly feel like I’ve had better results from this tool than the revlon straightener I used prior. I have super long, almost butt length hair and it’s got quite a strong curl. The quality is better obviously; it’s heavier, with a longer cord and the on off is the only button (and it turns on and heats up quick) so no fluffing around for temp, but that’s really it. I like my temp higher than this goes, I know it’s bad for my hair but my curls take more than one pass with cooler temps and I feel like one pass is a fair trade for higher temps. The ghd also has a small iron, it’s only 3inches or so long so a lot of my hair just misses the iron. Even with smaller chunks, the clip doesn’t close completely so without a ton of pressure my hair slips off the iron plates and doesn’t get straightened, so I have to be very careful. I didn’t see a whole lot of difference with less frizz or longer lasting straightening with this vs my old iron either. A lot of people have problems with like a flashing red light that then makes it impossible to use but I haven’t experienced that yet and hope I don’t so I can’t comment on that. Anyway, it’s good but it didn’t do such an amazing job that I would recommend people who aren’t looking to spend crazy money on a new one to buy this. It’s expensive and does the job of one I can get at Walmart.

Don’t waste your money

This is the worst product. I’ve had a basic Chi brand straightener for 16+ years with zero issues. I figured it might be good to replace it due to age. Big mistake. It’s very loud with a built in speaker that chimes when it’s turned on, hot, and shut off (super annoying - I startle every time). After only three uses, the arms are now shifting apart and ripping hair out. I can’t straighten with it, let alone wave/curl. I’m so careful with appliances because they are so expensive - it’s been used gently and stored safely. Sephora won’t take a return because it’s outside 30 days (bought February 2026), warranty for replacements from ghd is out of the states and you have to pay for shipping which is so expensive. Research warranty returns before you buy their product - you never think it will happen you to.

10 years later and still love this styler

I have had one for 10 years, and only now has it begun to stop working. I used this one every day, I style my hair from pin straight to bombshell waves and curls and it doesn’t fry my hair. I have fine-medium wavy hair, my mom who has super fine hair loves that it doesn’t fry her hair either. I used to constantly have to cut my hair to keep the split ends in check. This one has kept my hair healthy for years now. I really recommend this straightening iron. It’s expensive, but overall it’s the longest lasting hair tool Ive ever owned. And up front cost means nothing considering that it’s been used every two days or every day since I bought it.

Must have hair tool!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I received this hair straightener from Influenster to review. First off the packaging of the hair straightener is very nice very sleek. In the box, there is a hair straightener a manual and a little silicone cover that goes over the top of the hair straightener itself. The hair straightener is very fancy as well once you turn it on it plays a little music. The hair straightener heats up very quickly, after I plugged it in it was ready to go within about two minutes. I also really like that half of the straightener is rounded so I was able to straighten my hair as well as curl my hair with the straightener. I did notice that it took a lot of frizz from my hair. My hair is thick and frizzy so I do very much like the results after using the hair straightener. The hair straightener also plays a little bit of music when you turn it off the only thing that would make this hair straightener a 10 out of 10 would be if it had a way to change the heat settings. Other than that, it’s perfect.

Perfect straightener

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I’ve actually already had a version of this straightener for years, and I love this straightener, but this black one is even better than the white one. It heats up super quickly and has noise cues to let you know that it is on and that it is ready and hot. When you first use it can be confusing because it doesn’t have a heat setting, which can be scary, but as you can see I got some awesome curls on my hair that I very lightly blow dried, so it wasn’t bone straight. However, it can also get your hair bone straight if you take smaller sections and with more time. I like the black cause it doesn’t show the oil residue that you see on other straighteners from using heat protection and using the straightener for curling. I like to use my straightener for curling and straightening. Pictured, I just used it for curling. You basically won’t need many other tools and your hair will stay healthy.
