I’d give the Kenra Platinum Deluxe Defense Shampoo 5/5 stars because I honestly really liked it. It made my hair feel clean without feeling stripped or dry and I liked that it left my hair feeling soft and healthy after washing. It also felt like a nice everyday shampoo that helped with moisture and made my hair look a little more polished overall. It’s a really solid shampoo and I enjoyed using it. It does its job really well and I have no major complaints, but it wasn’t one of those products that instantly became a holy grail for me. Still, it’s reliable, effective, and something I’d definitely keep using. The brand also markets it as helping with breakage, heat styling damage, moisture, and color vibrancy, which fits the overall “protective everyday shampoo” vibe.

It’s fine, nothing groundbreaking

I was gifted travel sized editions on this shampoo and conditioner line as part of an incentivized review program. Without adequate time and volume of product, I can only attest to the initial few trials. The shampoo cleansed my hair and scalp well, I didn’t feel any buildup or abnormal texture. The conditioner was night but I think it could have used more moisturizing ingredients to really soften up my hair. I enjoyed the scent of the products and the way my hair looked after using them. I probably would not purchase then for myself but they seem like good products overall!

Loving the results

While it isn't "perfect" (because, honestly, I wish it lathered up a *little* bit more without requiring me to use so much product), it delivers exactly what it promises. It cleanses gently without stripping away the scalp's natural oils. It’s ideal if you’re looking to maintain that "fresh from the salon" shine for several weeks. It has definitely become my favorite shampoo in my shower routine; I love knowing that I’m taking care of my blonde hair and keeping it looking vibrant. Highly recommended!

I also had the opportunity to try a Kendra shampoo, and similar to the conditioner, my experience was somewhat limited due to the small travel-size tube provided. With long hair, it typically takes a bit more product to achieve a proper cleanse, so I was only able to use the shampoo a couple of times rather than the full 7-day testing period. That said, I focused closely on the quality of those initial uses. From the first wash, the shampoo lathered nicely and felt gentle on the scalp without being overly stripping. It cleansed effectively, removing buildup while still leaving my hair feeling relatively soft—not that “squeaky dry” feeling that some shampoos can cause. I also appreciated that it didn’t weigh my hair down or leave any residue. After drying, my hair felt fresh, light, and had a natural-looking shine. It seems like a well-balanced formula that could work well for regular use. However, because I wasn’t able to test it consistently over several days, I can’t fully speak to long-term effects such as scalp balance, hydration over time, or overall hair health improvement. Overall, it’s a strong first impression with a quality formula, but for longer hair types especially, a larger size would be necessary to properly evaluate its full performance.

Product was received as part of an educational promotion. I have extremely thick and course 4c hair. Prior to using this shampoo my hair was very dry and brittle. After using this shampoo I noticed my hair is very soft, thicker, and very strong now. I have also noticed that my hair is not as damaged, and not breaking off. I love how this product is good for damaged hair. Also I noticed that I no longer have split ends anymore. I highly recommend this product to friends and family. My hair feels very clean.
